Flash countup / countdown February 2nd, 2010
It’s February, and if i’m not mistaken a little milder. So with that and other positive thoughts in mind here’s a constant reminder of the age of this blog (at the time of writing pretty new), and therefore the age of its creator – me (at the time of writing not) in the form of a Flash (AS2) countup. Slowly ticking off the seconds into oblivion.
The files are here so download them and get counting, the possibilties are endless - as long as they're in some way related to counting.
UPDATE: Due to popular demand here are the files in CS3 format...
Hi, thanks but the files you have provided do not open when clicked, i am using flash cs3 put my applications are entirely as2, is there a way to do this using as2? thank you.
Hi Ken – what exactly do you mean they don’t open? Is flash showing an error? I think the count up is AS2 but the countdown is AS3, it should still open in Flash though…

Hi, I have the same problem as Ken has. When I try to open in flash I get a “unexpected file format” warning. I have flash 8. Maybe that is a too old version. If you could upload (or directly send to my email adress
) the same file in an older format, that would be great!
Hi Martin – I’ve uploaded the files in CS3 format (there’s an update on the post) so you can give them a go. It won’t let me save them older than that i’m afraid…
